For Students:

  • Access to Job Postings in our resource area and on our website
  • Assistance with resume completion and job search in our resource areas

To be eligible:

  • 15 to 30 years old
  • Currently a student and planning to return to school in the Fall
  • A resident of and eligible to work in Ontario

For Employers:

  • SJS is funded by the Government of Ontario and provides students with work experience during the summer months
  • A $2/hour wage subsidy per student hired
  • Minimal paperwork
  • Post your jobs on our website free of charge

To be eligible:

  • Be in compliance with Workplace Safety and Insurance coverage (or equivalent) and 3rd Party Liability insurance
  • Not hire student(s) before applying for the program
  • Not displace existing staff with students hired through SJS
  • Offer a job and operate in Ontario
  • Your relatives (son/daughter, niece/nephew, etc) are not eligible for SJS
  • Students working for you before you apply for the program are only eligible if you increase their part time hours to full time hours during the summer months.
