Full-Time Receptionist / Administration (1 Position)

Job Description

We are a not for profit gymnastics organization operating out of St. Catharines seeking a receptionist to handle front office customer service and administrative duties.

We are looking for candidates with good communication skills, the ability to work independently and strong interpersonal skills. Experience with databases and Microsoft Office is required.

Duties:

* Handles inquiries from existing and prospective customers on programs, prices and registration process via phone email and in person

* Accepts and logs payments on customer accounts, providing accurate records to the bookkeeper of daily receipts

* Completes all components of the gymnastics registration process, including maintaining class lists and registration databases

* Updates class and payment information in our online registration system (currently Amilia)

* Assists program managers, board members and bookkeepers with administrative duties as required/assigned.

* Ensures files are up to date, office is organized and tidy.

* Handles all administration related to birthday parties, private lessons, drop in classes and day camp.

* Handles ticket sales or fund collection for events (e.g. banquet, competitions)

* Responds respectfully and appropriately to customer concerns, escalating where required.

* Attends staff meetings and/or board meetings as required by management.

* Maintains a friendly and professional demeanor with customers in a busy office environment

* Maintains strong relationships with program managers, board members and staff.

* Other customer service and administrative tasks as required by business needs.

Hours of Work:
Starting in September, hours will be in the evenings during the week (typically 4pm to 8 pm Monday through Thursday) and Saturday morning (typically 9 to 1). During elementary school breaks, hours will shift to daytime (Winter Break, March Break, Summer Break). The weekly work schedule will consistently be between 20 and 24 hours per week.
