Full-Time Accounts Payable Clerk (1 Position)

Job Description

The Skylon Tower’s Accounting Department is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk.

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for ensuring that expenses related to the purchase of goods and services are properly classified, approved and paid in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter and post approved invoices
  • Match invoices with receipts, and their respective purchase orders
  • Ensure that invoices without purchase orders are approved according to policies in place
  • Perform follow-up of invoice disputes to help resolve problem situations
  • Monitor and perform follow-up of statement of accounts and contact vendors as required
  • Build solid relationships across all related parties at various accounting levels
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one (1) year of accounts payable experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use sound judgement
  • Ability to multi-task while being flexible
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, coupled with exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting and financial records
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills

Job Type: Full-time

Required education: High school or equivalent

Required experience: Accounts Payable 1 year exp.
