Full-Time Administrative Assistant (1 Position)

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintains office services assisting the Sales Manager by organizing office operations and procedures with incoming calls and walk-in trade.
  • Liaise with our suppliers and customers.
  • Controlling correspondence and filing.
  • Second or third point for incoming phone calls and walk-in customers.
  • Messaging and routing phone calls to individuals or forward to Avaya phone messaging system.
  • Data entry of Work Order Numbers from employee time cards.
  • Responsible for company Receivables.
  • Keep regular computer logs on progress of receivables.
  • Pricing for and assisting customers.
  • Organizing and filing orders.
  • Use of front till, processing cash and credit card payments.
  • Enhance various front office departments by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests. Exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of our team.
  • Strong computer skills in the use of QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Experience in the construction trades is an asset.

Hours are: Monday thru Friday 8:30am-5:00pm; 37.5 Hrs. Wk.
