Who You Are
The ideal candidate is responsible for carrying out prevention and eradication of pests through bio application and use of approved pesticides.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Spraying crops for control and prevention of pests
  • Preparing and mixing pest control products
  • Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment
  • Aiding in the release of biological pest control measures
  • Maintaining compliance with all Health Canada’s policies, procedures and documentation
  • Keeping up to date on best practices for use of biological controls and Health Canada’s approved pesticides
  • Other duties as required

Education & Experience

  • Horticulture diploma, or equivalent, with focus on IPM an asset
  • Must possess pest control applicators license (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire)

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
  • Must pass an RCMP security clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced client focused environment
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and work roles
  • Ability to communicate effectively using all communication vehicles

Physical Demands

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to be able to lift up to and including 50lbs, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and reach with arms/hands. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items is occasionally required. Employees must wear proper PPE at all times, including a respirator.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to HID light, chemicals, microbiological agents, insects, packaged cannabis products/supplies. The working environment can be noisy at times and temperate, the employee must have knowledge of how to manage their own personal safety under these conditions.

Site Technician Job Description

Position: Site Technician

Reports to: TBD

Location: Niagara

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Remove debris and trash at construction sites.
  • Assist in construction of existing and new buildings.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards around the work-site.
  • Clean newly completed grow rooms to meet Health Canada and CannTrust standards.
  • Load and unload building materials.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Assisting other trades with labour requirements.
  • Assist in installation of greenhouse systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Sanitation Technician Job Description

Position: Sanitation Technician

Reports to: TBD

Location: Niagara

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Complete standard sanitation operating procedures per directions on greenhouse premises and equipment
  • Follow daily and weekly task checklists
  • Ensure checklist are completed daily and handed in at end of week.
  • Be proactive in detecting and correcting sanitations problems
  • Be punctual and abide by weekly schedule
  • Inform your supervisors about any problems regarding the presents of pests, areas in lack of proper sanitation, leaks etc.
  • Keep all areas of work place clean and organized
  • Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Observe all safety rules, precautions, and practices to ensure the safety of self and others
  • Enforce that everyone who enters production facility is properly gowned
  • Work as a team to ensure all areas and production materials are cleaned in a timely manner and is returned to the proper place
  • Realize the importance of a clean and tidy environment and the possible effect it can have on our product
  • Self-motivate and promote and fun and safe work atmosphere

Sanitation Tasks

  • Sanitation of grow tables
  • Sanitation of all irrigation materials
  • Thoroughly Deep clean areas of the greenhouse
  • Operate sanitation machines and vehicles
  • Maintain a clean and sterile washroom environment
  • Keep biosecurity as a high priority
  • Ensure Sanitations sinks are clean and empty
  • Do regular maintenance and sanitize on equipment and tools used for sanitations
  • Regularly check on areas for sanitation that you are responsible for
  • Record completion of daily tasks
  • General cleaning tasks would include, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and scrubbing.

Harvest Technician Job Description

 

Position: Harvest Technician

Reports to: TBD

Location: Niagara

 

Summary

Harvest technicians are responsible for processing cannabis plants during the harvest procedure. This includes plant breakdown and operation of trimming equipment. Harvest technicians will report directly to their shift supervisor (morning or evening).

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Hand trimming cannabis plants
  • Operating industry specific trimming machinery
  • Clean and perform maintenance on harvest area equipment and work space
  • Responsible for keeping work areas clean and ensuring a safe work environment
