Full-Time Autobody Technician (1 Position)

Job Description

Job Gym is currently assisting Fix Auto Welland recruit an experienced Autobody Technician.  This position offers 42.5 hours per week.  Wage is negotiable, based on experience and full benefits, employer pays half.  Position is available immediately.

Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
  • Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
  • File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
  • Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
  • Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling

Qualifications and attributes required for this position include:

  • At least 1 year experience working as a Licensed autobody technician preferred but not necessary
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
  • Attention to detail and the ability to easily adapt to new technologies
  • Work ethic demonstrating honesty, reliability, punctuality and team work
  • Physically fit to perform: standing and bending for extended periods of time; ability to regularly lift 50lbs
