Full-Time Boat Tank Cleaning (1 Position)
Job Description
Terms of Employment:Casual, on call, ongoing
Salary:$18/hr for any on site work. $14/hr for training and travel time
Anticipated Start Date:ASAP
Times:7:00am until finish, depending on work demands of the day (Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends)
Location:Niagara Falls, ON
Education:Completion of High School
Experience:No experience required, Fall Protection training is considered an asset and Experience with power washers and sand blasting
Languages:Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting:Outdoors, messy, fast pace, and working in a confined space.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, heavy lifting, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, maintained daily hygiene
Equipment:You are supplied with a pair of CSA approved green diamond safety boots while working.
Essential Skills:Oral communication, working with others, job task planning and organizing
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comply with safe work practices and policies to ensure all work is done as safely as possible.
- Large diameter tank cleaning and vessel tank cleaning
- Rigging/setting up the equipment in and out
- Hooking/unhooking hoes
- Filling up various pieces of equipment with fuel
- Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the day
- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Be able to perform physical tasks and duties such as lifting, shoveling climbing, hose movement, or other heavy materials.
- Operates equipments including: high pressure washer, sprayers and hydro blasting units
- Perform other operational duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Willing to work flexible shifts, long hours, evenings, and weekends
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and heights for long hours
- Must be willing to be away out of town for 1-2 weeks at a time
- Must have Police Clearance
- Must be drug and alcohol tested or willing to take one
- Must have a valid passport
