Full-Time Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant (1 Position)

Job Description

Seeking a Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to take care of company day to day financial tasks. You will be responsible for both accounts payables and receivables along with payroll (12 employees), and bank account reconciliation tasks. To do well in this role you should have previous experience as a Bookkeeper and have used QuickBooks.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
* Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
* Reconcile sales taxes, payroll taxes and bank accounts at the end of each month.
* Monitor financial transactions and reports.
* Process accounts receivable and payable.
* Process checks.
* Create Journal Entries
* Understand ledgers.
* Post to the General Ledger
* Work with an Accountant when necessary.
* Handle Weekly payroll using QuickBooks

Job Requirements:

* Knowledge of bookkeeping software.
* At least two years bookkeeping experience, preferably within a business-services environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
* Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks
* Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
* Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration.
* Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
* Ideally, you would have a minimum of 1+ year’s experience as a Bookkeeper.
* Experience of accounting software is required, with knowledge of QuickBooks and Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel.
