Part-Time Bookkeeping Instructor (1 Position)
Job Description
This will be a part-time position based on student enrollment.
Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Description:
- Teach adult students in a private career college setting
- Create lesson plans that fulfill the requirements set out in the curriculum
- Guide students through the objectives of the program
- Administer and grade tests, assignments and projects
- Write monthly progress reports and track student attendance
- Follow the Rules and Regulations as set out by Transitions College
Applicants must meet one or more of the following qualifications:
- 4 years of work or teaching experience in the Bookkeeping/Accounting field within the last 10 years, OR
- 2 years of work or teaching experience in the Bookkeeping/Accounting field withing the last 10 years, AND (one of the following)
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree from a Canadian university or equivalent degree, OR
- Are a graduate of a College of Applied Arts and Technology or equivalent, OR
- Are a graduate of a registered Private Career College or equivalent, OR
- Are the holder of a Certificate of Qualification under the Ontario Colleges of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2006 or equivalent
Requirements:
- Two letters of reference
- Copies of any post-secondary degrees, diplomas or certificates
