Full-Time Carpenter – Fence/Deck Builder (1 Position)
Job Description
Marshall’s Decks, Fences & More is hiring well-rounded carpenter to assist in building Decks and Fences in the Niagara Region, starting Immediately, full time.
We are a team that’s centered on continuous improvement. We value professionalism, creativity, reliability and hard work. We’re looking to hire someone with a passion for building, who is looking to expand their skill set and continue on with the company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepping for the job each day; collecting and packing the truck with the necessary tools and materials for the job;
- Demolition + Removal; helping to demo existing fences/decks/etc and disposing of the materials offsite;
- Must be able to interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches
- Layout | Measure | Cut | Assemble and join wood and composite materials.
- Fence & Deck Construction; building fences, decks, stairs, pergolas, gazebos and carpentry related projects
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50lbs.
- Be capable of working in all weather conditions.
- Punctual and on time for work daily
- Must have Steel-toed safety boots
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years experience in carpentry/construction industry
- Direct experience in fencing, decking, general construction or framing preferred
- Proficiently skilled in the use of power and hand tools, understands how to read a tape measure
- G class license
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- A keen eye for details.
- A self-starter who needs little supervision as well as working well with a team
- A desire to surpass the customers’ expectations.
- Ability to maintain our quality standards.
Compensation:
- $16- $20/ hr. to be commensurate with skills and experience.
