Full-Time Delivery Driver (1 Position)
Job Description
Driver Job Description ( 4-7 hours a day)
Responsibility
- Proven working experience as a driver
- On occasion, willing to work long hours and travel for multiple days and occasional weekends.
- Knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Previous driver experience
- Willing to submit driver abstract
- Fork lift certification an asset
- Must be able to push, pull and lift 50 or more pounds. Heavy lifting is a requirement
- Must have valid passport and able to drive in the United States
Requirements
- Transport print matter by cargo van or box truck
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc.) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Manoeuver truck/van into loading or unloading positions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
- Load and unload truck
- Pick up and drop off company guests which includes airport runs
