We are looking for a Dishwasher to ensure all dishes and glassware is clean and sanitary for our kitchen and guest usage.

OVERVIEW

As a Dishwasher, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitization of all dishes, glassware, tableware, pots and pans, and cooking utensils. You’ll also ensure the dishwashing area is maintained, clean, safe and sanitary.

JOB DUTIES

• Clean and sanitize all dishes, flatware, glassware, and kitchen pots, pans and utensils.
• Sort and stack clean dishes; carry clean dishes to cooking area or other proper storage area.
• Operate dish washing machines safely and according to manufacturer specifications.
• Utilize proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer chemical amounts in dish machines.
• Handle tableware and glassware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Empty kitchen trash on a regular basis.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dish areas including sweeping floors and clearing dirty dishes from cooking area.
• Perform shift opening and closing duties including cleaning kitchen mats, sweeping, and mopping kitchen and dishwashing areas.
• Assist with food preparation work as needed.
• Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Education (some HS education required)
• Previous restaurant or customer service experience, preferred
• Must be able to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate Program within 60 days from hire date
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Professional appearance
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
