Full-Time Electronic Assemblers (4 Positions)
Job Description
We are looking to hire 4 Electronic Assemblers to work 8am-4pm.
Candidates for these positions must have experience working with electronics and electrical wiring. The work involves PCB and wiring harness assembly. PCBs are assembled with a variety of surface mount and through hole components. Extensive soldering experience both with iron and reflow are required. Various types of controllers are built in our Niagara Falls facility which incorporate custom control electronics connected to various sensors and actuators in the modular building blocks of the system.
Electronics Assemblers will be responsible for all steps of assembly of PC boards and associated wiring harnesses as well as flashing and calibrating the units, performing QA tests on the finished units, troubleshooting and repairing any units which do not pass the testing.
Additional duties may include – reworking failed units returned to the shop, kitting wiring for shipment to a jobsite, building test fixtures for production assemblies, building sensor assemblies, installing and testing electronics in the controllers they are for.
Candidates may additionally be expected to travel within North America installing the units and diagnosing and repairing problems once experienced with the assembly process.
Experience which would be an asset:
– electronics assembly
– familiarity with PC production automation systems – pick and place, reflow ovens etc
– electronics troubleshooting knowledge
– schematics understanding and creation
– experience with AC and DC circuits, digital and analog circuits
– microcontroller familiarity
– Linux familiarity
Candidates must have reliable transportation, be bondable with no criminal record, be prompt and reliable, and above all else have excellent workmanship skills and attention to detail.
Applicants will be expected to complete a written pre-qualification test in person prior to being granted an interview.
