Job Description
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
– Tight deadlines, Handling Heavy loads, Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Fast-paced environment, Hand Eye co-ordination, Ability to distinguish between colour, Attention to detail, Physically Demanding, Bending, Crouching, Kneeling, Walking, Standing for extended periods, Combination of sitting, standing and walking.
Transportation/Travel Information
– The employee will be required to have a valid driver’s license, in order to drive from one location to the other. Our farm has additional growing fields where employees will be planing and harvesting our crops. The employee will be provided a work vehicle in order to efficiently complete their daily tasks.
Equipment and Machinery Experience
– Seed drill, Planting equipment, Tractor, Manure Spreader, Fertilizer applicator, Haying Equipment, sprayer or duster.
Specific Skills
– Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, Fertilize and spray crops, Harvest crops, Feed and tend to animals, Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, examine produce for quality and prepare for market.
– 1-2 years of experience is an asset.
Work Site Environment
– Outdoors, At heights, wet/damp, noisy, odor, dusty, hot
Education
– No Degree, certificate or diploma is required.
Salary is $14.00/hour
