Job Title: Formulation Scientist
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $45,000 ~ $65,000 per year
Location of Work: Niagara Falls, ON

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Formulation of solid and liquid dosage
- Assist in setting up and conducting chemical experiments, tests, and analyses
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and apparatus and prepare solutions of gas and liquid, reagents, and sample formulations
- Compile records for analytical studies and scientific reports
- Assist in developing and conducting programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards
- Carry out a limited range of other technical functions in support of chemical research, tests and analyses, and environment air and water quality monitoring and protection
- Assist in the design and fabrication of experimental apparatus
- Prepares DEO and Q-b-D for new product development
- Provides professional expertise in formulation
- Ensures that all formulation work is performed in compliance with GMP, SOP, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Master/Ph.D. degree in Formulation Science or Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent fields is required
- Extensive knowledge of solid dosage forms, process development and novel drug delivery systems
- Possess detailed understanding of the theoretical principles for formulation, excipients, and manufacturing processes
- In-depth knowledge and experience in analytical techniques, bioequivalence and stability studies
- Strong verbal and written English communication, excellent organization and report writing skills
- Able to work independently and within a team setting
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, Safety and FDA guidelines
- Knowledge of Mandarin language is an asset
- Preference for application will be given to veterans, to Canadian citizens, and to permanent resident, in that order
