Full-Time Industrial Painter (1 Position)
Job Description
Local Welland employer is looking to hire an Industrial Painter immediately.
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting with prepping industrial equipment for blasting and painting.
This position is full time and wage will depend on experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Direct reporting to the General Manager
• Operate or tend equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare items for application of paint, lacquer or other protective or decorative coatings
• Operate or tend automated spray paint, dip or flow coating equipment or other mechanized painting or product coating application equipment and have knowledge of pressure pots, airless sprayers and cup guns
• Application of zinc, enamel and epoxy materials
• Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment
Requirements:
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and coworkers
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the day
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle recommended
• Physically fit, able to stand, bend, crouch and lift while carrying objects of varying weights
• Clean and neat in appearance
• Team player with cooperative attitude
