Full-Time Inside Sales/Customer Service (1 Position)

Job Description

Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional customer service via over-the-counter sales as well as telephone orders
• Prepare quotations for contractors and/or cash-sale customers as needed
• Handling of cash sale customers
• Checking the board daily; verifying the accuracy of order information
• Understand customer needs and requirements including gathering and researching information
• Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment; communicating expected delivery date; explaining stock-outs and suggest alternate products if applicable
• Updating MSDS sheets as required
• Filing
• Assisting with other office duties as required

Requirements
• Strong phone presence and experience
• Experience working with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong listening and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of masonry, landscaping and building supply materials
• An understanding of blue print reading

Experience in customer service for construction materials and/or equipment is required. Past work experience in a hardware store would be desirable.
