We are currently seeking an IT Manager who is dynamic and is ready to advance their career in the Hospitality sector in Information Technology. The successful candidate must be guest service focused, detail orientated, and have a passion for excellence to lead our IT team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position is responsible for overseeing the IT Department at the Marriott on the Falls Conference Centre and the Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but not limited:
- Managing both Hotel’s day to day IT activity ensuring that Marriott standards are followed.
- Supporting and maintaining the IT infrastructure including telecommunication.
- Providing assistance to Guests with the internet connectivity.
- Leading the IT team with an overall IT development and maintenance plan, project planning and implementation of new systems
- Implementing a help desk protocol
- Liaising with hardware and software outside vendors.
- Installing software and hardware upgrades in compliance with the Marriott standards.
- Configuring back up programs.
- Maintaining windows domain.
- Maintaining POS systems for multiple properties for the retail and F&B Departments.
- Maintaining e-mail systems.
- Troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintaining up to date documentation for all maintenance, system changes and for the help desk.
- Maintaining wireless network
- Providing computer, printer and internet support.
- Responding to all Emergency situations.
- Adhering to Marriott’s Policies and Procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Must have 2- 5 years leadership experience in a similar capacity.
- Must be proficient in Windows server with active directory.
- CompTIA A + certification.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networks, switches and router technology
- University/College from accredited educational institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related major.
- Understanding of Hotel applications an asset.
- Must have excellent written and communication/organization skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Must have a “Passion for Service”.
- Must be will to work a flexible schedule, including evening, weekends, holidays, and as necessary to meet guest needs
