Job Description
The Pillar & Post is seeking a Lead Room Attendant to join their Housekeeping Team! The Lead Room Attendant is responsible for providing the “service” and “technical” skills training of all New Team Members internally transferred into or externally hired as a Room Attendant as well as maintaining the ongoing retraining and follow–up of existing Room Attendants. Also responsible for ensuring guestrooms are cleaned and maintained in a manner consistent with a superior quality hotel.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
*Providing personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity.
*Ensures bathrooms are clean and free of hair.
*Ensures guest rooms are clean and free of dust.
*Ensures carpets are vacuumed daily.
*Ensures corridors and guest room doors are clean.
*Ensures cart room and cart are well maintained and organized
*Maintains equipment, locker, cupboards and vacuums.
*Reports any maintenance needed in rooms to the Maintenance Department.
*Reports anything missing in rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor on duty.
*Manages the Lost & Found – All articles found in rooms to be taken to lost & found daily to be logged and labelled.
*Occasionally performs opening duties.
*Completes room inspections.
