Full-Time Maintenance Technician (1 Position)
Job Description
A plastics producing company is looking for an uncertified Millwright or Maintenance Technician to assist Millwrights and the Maintenance department. Candidates will perform duties that include, but not limited to, preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, new installations and restorations. The ideal candidate would be someone who is mechanically inclined, is motivated to learn and is looking for an opportunity for career growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and understand diagrams, schematics and drawings
- Inspect & examine machinery & equipment to detect & investigate irregularities & malfunctions
- Assemble, rebuild and install machinery & equipment using machining tools, hand tools and power tools.
- Operate mobile equipment, hoists, etc. safely to position machinery components & parts during repair, assembly installation and commissioning of machinery
- Clean, lubricate & perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Safely operate shop equipment and machining tools equipment
- Must be focused on continued growth of personal knowledge and skills
Skills & Abilities:
- High mechanical aptitude required
- Experienced and proficient in mechanical system trouble shooting and repairs
- Able to analyze and solve technical challenges in a practical manner
- Able to work independently as well as a part of a team
- Reliability, organization and attention to detail required
Shifts:
Rotating weekly in a 3 shift schedule. Days (8am to 4:30pm), Afternoons (4pm to 12:30am) and Nights (12am to 8:30am). Eventually the shifts will move to 12hours. 8am to 8pm and 8pm to 8am so candidates must be aware and willing to move to these shifts.
