We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled person for the position of Mentoring Coordinator. The incumbent will assist in the coordination and support of Agency programming.  As a key member of our program team you provide assessment, training, monitoring and support to volunteers and families and play an active role in events and activities that support the matches This position reports directly to the Team Lead Mentoring Coordinator, the Director of Services, and the CEO.

This Position will have:

  • Post-Secondary degree in family or child studies, education, or a related field
  • Experience in managing, administering, and evaluating volunteer programs
  • Demonstrated experience in Case management
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel programs

This Position also requires:

  • A valid driver’s license and have their own vehicle
  • A satisfactory driving record and automobile insurance of at least $1,000,000
  • As a condition of employment, selected candidates will also be required to provide a satisfactory Police Reference Check (PRC) with vulnerable sector screening
  • Flexible schedule: availability on some evenings and weekends
