We are a growing company with stability and opportunity for advancement for qualified candidates. We are currently looking for Cap Labeler Machine Operators to join our team.
Shift: Sunday – Thursday 11PM-7AM (Straight Nights)
Job Type: Full Time
Salary/Wage:$15.50/hour
Physical Requirements: This job is performed within a plant environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to adapt to changing climate conditions, air-borne particles and noisy conditions
- Must be willing to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (hairnet, ear plugs, safety glasses, steel toed boots/shoes)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Loading blanks in magazine for continuous machine operation
- Cleaning out the entire machine at time of flavour change or colour change
- Removing all old product from machine and having the lead hand verify
- Complete Quality Inspections and ensures quality checks are being performed and recorded at the prescribed times. Informs Reliever or Lead Hand immediately of any quality issues as they arise.
- Ensures labels and documentation is filled out properly and completely
- In charge of running the Labeler Machine
- Load caps
- Essentially in charge of orders, making sure that the orders are completed and accurate from start to finish
- Matching the labels to the work order
Qualifications and Skills
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar environment
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks within a deadline-driven environment
- Able to troubleshoot machinery issues that may arise
- Works well independently or as a team with good communication skills
- Can adapt well to ever-changing situations
- Provide own steel toed shoes/boots
- Able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs
