The office of Pelham Chiropractic & Wellness Centre is excited to extend a new opportunity for a REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST! This permanent position offers the flexibility to set your own hours. Compensation is extremely competitive.
Our office is part of a busy medical centre, featuring health and wellness professionals and services of multiple disciplines. We are looking for candidates who are team players and can step in to support an existing client base, while continuing to build new clientele. The new member of our team must hold a diploma and be in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assessing clients by conducting proper health history, initial assessment and proposing treatment plans
- Explaining procedures, risks and benefits to clients
- Administering massage techniques, treating soft tissues and joints of the body through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower grade mobilizations, remedial exercise programs and client self-help programs
- Suggesting home care instructions and providing information about techniques for further postural improvement and stretching, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitative exercises
- Maintaining records of treatments given
- Liaising and coordinating services with other health professionals within the health and wellness team
• Developing new client accounts, while maintaining active client relationships
