Seasonal Restaurant Staff (Multiple Positions)

Job Description

Brock Golf Course is hiring for the second half of the golf season! We’re a family-owned and operated ‘golf entertainment’ facility encompassing an executive-length 18 hole golf course, driving range, mini golf course, footgolf course and restaurant, and we offer a fun, fast-paced and varied work environment.

We’re looking for someone dependable who can jump in, learn the ropes and work with us through the end of the season – possibly through October, weather dependent.

Our restaurant job is fun and a bit unconventional, with our restaurant staff doing all of the following, and more:

  • Provide quick and friendly service so our customers enjoy a great experience at our establishment.
  • Operate our counter-service restaurant and bar, from taking orders at the counter to preparing a basic menu of sandwiches, hot dogs, salads, etc.
  • Drive and serve drinks and snacks to golfers on the beverage cart.
  • Supervise birthday parties and school field trips, including greeting parents/chaperones and children, explaining safety rules and preparing food.
  • Occasionally assist with driving range maintenance including picking, washing and stocking of range balls (this includes driving at slow speeds and lifting up to 30 lbs).
  • Manage other duties (including dusting, mopping, washroom cleaning) as required.

Our most successful staff members have the following qualities:

  • A basic knowledge of food and beverage service and preparation.
  • Niagara Region Food Handler certification, or able to obtain it within a few weeks of hire.
  • Quick learners and comfortable working on a computer.
  • A friendly, positive attitude.
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Willing to help with cleaning and various jobs around the clubhouse.
  • Are 18 or older in order to serve alcoholic beverages.
