Seasonal Summer Support Worker (7 Positions)
Job Description
We are looking to hire 7 Summer Support Workers to work Monday – Friday; 7- 8 hours shifts generally 8:30 – 3:30. Some flexibility to times is needed to accommodate early morning or after hours supports.
Duties:
The Summer Support Worker provides supports in the “YES” program for youth, who have a developmental disability, to explore their interests in work, volunteerism and leisure and to assist in the promotion of community participation.
Requirements:
This is a Canada Summer Jobs supported position. To apply you must be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident who is legally entitled to work in Ontario and is a youth between the ages of 15 – 30. This position is for the summer months only and applicants must be available for the entirety of the program starting June 24/19 and ending August 23/19. Experience and education in the field of Developmental Disabilities preferred. Driving license is an asset, as well as, the ability to work without direct supervision. A good attitude and the ability to relate well with others, is a must.
