Tool Coordinator

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Field Superintendent, the Tools Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, inspecting, delivering and logging all tools, materials, and other project requirements to various job sites within the Niagara Region and the Greater Toronto Area.

Administration:

  • Receive and respond to Tool Requests.
  • Liaise with Project Managers and Site Supervisors.
  • Coordination and scheduling of tools and site materials.
  • Continuously track tools and materials entering and leaving job sites.
  • Ensure that inventory records are accurate and up to date.
  • Enter data into software management program.
  • Schedule maintenance of Company Vehicles.
  • Maintain the supplies of utility stock within the office.

Tools:

  • Inspect tools prior to sending them out, and upon return,
  • log deficiencies
  • repair/ arrange for them to be repaired
  • perform regular ongoing maintenance of tools.

Deliveries:

  • Manually load, deliver, and unload tools, materials, equipment in and out of vehicles, job sites and customer warehouses.
  • Set up, and tear down of site materials on projects.
  • Towing of trailers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid Class “G” Driver’s License with a clean abstract of driving record.
  • Experience driving and maneuvering a truck and trailer.
  • Experience and knowledge to properly secure loads being transported.
  • Mechanically inclined. Knowledge and experience with electrical hand-tools.
  • Electrical and Mechanical trade knowledge is an asset.
  • Construction Industry knowledge considered an asset.
  • Tow motor/Fork Lift training is an asset.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines in ensuring that tool requests are met.
  • Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient with computer, MS office, email.
  • Ability to regularly move and position objects weighing up to 100 pounds; occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds overhead, occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and or crawl and frequently stand and walk.
