Job Description
City of Welland is looking to hire a Transit Operator.
Hours of Work:
Applicants are required to be available to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Hours of work are not guaranteed. Part Time Transit Operators are called-in or assigned work as required.
Wage:
$22.61-$29.07
Requirements:
A valid Class “C” Ontario Driver’s License with “Z” Air Brake endorsement is required.
Duties:
Under the direction of the Transit Supervisor, the Transit Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of passengers on assigned bus routes, as well as minor maintenance and repairs to busses. This position is also responsible for routine pre-trip inspections, ensuring proper fares are deposited, and for providing exceptional customer service.
