Create a New Resume:

The Resume Database has been designed to protect your privacy. You can build 1 or more resumes and add it to our database.

Keep my name and contact information confidential from Employers searching the resume database

Please Select this option if you prefer Employers do not have access to your personal information (Personal information would consist of name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.) when they are searching the resume database. Employers will still see your resume text and if they are interested in contacting you for an interview, our staff will contact you to discuss the job opening and confirm permission to forward your resume to the interested employer. (Note: If you select this option, do not include the information in the body of the resume text)

Please activate this resume

Please select this option if you would like us to activate the resume. If you prefer to have your resume stored in our database but not available online - please do not select this option.

Resume Title

We recommend you give each resume a TITLE. This will assist you in organizing resumes when you have more than one in the database.

Objective

Please indicate an objective for the resume you are building. (Example: Officer Clerk, General Labourer etc.) All resumes submitted to our database are accessible online by Employers, but no personal information is made available, unless you specify your preference. (Personal information would consist of name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.)

Additional Information

The additional information section of the Resume Builder is an excellent location to indicate educational qualifications, additional skills and experience, transportation available etc.

When you have completed the form, hit the preview button. If you would like to make changes hit the re-edit button , or if you are satisfied with the resume layout, hit the submit button and the request to activate will be sent to our office. You will receive an e-mail confirmation that the resume has been posted in our database. Requests received after 4:00PM will be processed the next business day.

We have on-line Job Boards with local current job openings listed for Peterborough and the surrounding areas. To further assist with your Electronic Job Search we also provide additional links to other on-line resources for job listings

Employer Help
Create a New Job Posting
Some points for completing the job opening form:
1. Please Indicate a Job Title.
2. Please indicate a closing date. This is the date you would like to have the Job Order removed from the Job Board. If you are unsure of how long you would like to post the order we would recommend a 2-3 week period.
3. If salary or hourly wage will depend on previous work experience, you can indicate this in the Wage Comments i.e. to be determined.
4. How would you like to post this job opening? You have the option of posting on our regular or student job board.
5. Would you like to display your company name? You have the option of not displaying your company name on the public job posting.
6. When completing the Job Description section - please provide as much information as possible so there is a clear understanding of what the job entails.
7. If you prefer not to have your location listed in the job order, leave the Work Site Location section blank or indicate City/Town the job is located in.
8. The Minimum requirements/ Work Experience section of the form is a good place to list any special skills or experience that is required of individuals applying for this position.
9. Complete as many of the Other Job Requirements section as you can. This includes dress code, educational requirements, transportation and shift work requirements.
10. When completing the How to Apply section of the form you have three options:

1. Contact Employer Directly
Job Seekers can contact you directly. If you chose this option, please indicated your how to contact choices by completing the required fields. . Fill in only the fields you want to display on the job posting.

2.Contact Us
Job Seekers can contact us and we will collect the resumes on your behalf. When this option has been chosen, your Company name will not appear in the job posting unless you prefer it to be listed. We will call you when the resumes are ready to be picked up and/or report the status of resumes received to date.

3. Other Method of Contact
The method can be used for other methods of applying for job openings. i.e ability to apply online etc.

4. Online Apply
If this option is selected Jobseekers can submit electronic resumes online for this job posting. Employers can then search, read, add notes, and grade the submitted resumes.
11. When you have completed the form, hit the preview button. View Search Resumes Section

To access the resume database, you will need to edit your Company profile to request access. The resume database has been designed to protect Job Seeker and Employer privacy and we reserve the right to restrict and limit access to our resume database.

Resumes in our database are accessible online by Employers, but no personal information is available unless the Job Seeker has given prior approval. (Personal information would consist of name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address).

Employer views an online resume and is interested in meeting with the Job Seeker:

If the Job Seeker has supplied Personal information, the Employer can contact the Job Seeker directly. If no personal information has been provided - please click the connect me with this Job Seeker. Your request will be sent to our office and we will confirm permission with the Job Seeker to supply the Employer with a full copy resume.

Edit My Company Profile

We recommend you use this function only when you need to update your profile.

You can edit your company profile at any time, to update company name, contact person name, telephone/fax numbers and e-mail or street address changes.
