As transportation has long been a barrier to employment. Opportunities Niagara along with  partners across the region have jointly created a program called the Niagara Job Bus. This initiative is were employees and employers cost-share the cost of the transportation and the program is administered by Opportunities Niagara. 

Recently the Niagara Job Bus received some provincial funding from the Ministry of Community and Social Services from the Innovation fund. This offers some subsidies to off set the cost of the transportation for both the employer and employee.
