Position Summary

This will be a full-time position with CMHA Niagara. With a current staff complement of over 120 employees, CMHA Niagara provides a wide range of mental health and addictions services related to case management, immediate services, crisis beds and counselling, employment services, housing services, and information and training.  Continued growth and change in the sector and for our Branch requires an incumbent who is committed to the future needs of the Branch while maintaining Accreditation Canada standards.

 

In support of the Mission, Vision and Values of CMHA Niagara, the Program Manager manages operational and administrative aspects of service delivery including: program budgets, program planning and development, project management, implementation, evaluation, reporting, and continued quality improvement. The incumbent will work with other providers and will be an important link to provide access and enhance coordination of services in the mental health and addictions system for clients and families.

 

The current portfolio for this position includes responsibilities for our Longer Term Services programs, inclusive of support within housing, employment, case management, single session counselling, and group programs, and experience and knowledge of similar programs is preferred.

Essential Job Requirements

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Nursing or allied profession, or other relevant area of study is preferred. Other degrees will be considered with relevant skills and experience.
  • Registration with a regulatory body in good standing and adheres to all standards of practice as per the College is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the community mental health and addictions program field.
  • Experience with quality improvement initiatives and project management is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the unique circumstances of persons with mental health and addictions challenges and disabilities, concurrent disorders and other comorbidities.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or verification that you are unable to be vaccinated
  • Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle; current valid class ‘G’ driver’s license
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check)

 

As excellent communication skills are required all invited candidates will be required to submit an extensive written pre-interview questionnaire.  Additional testing will be required of preferred candidates that may include emotional intelligence inventory assessment, job analysis profiling and presentation skills.  Language skills will be tested if applicable.
