Full-Time Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper
Job Description
We are currently recruiting an accounting clerk on behalf of our client in the Welland area. The duties in this position include but are not limited to matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a Temporary to Permanent position.
What you get to do every day:
- Assist Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt
- Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
- Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
- A/R plus Sage Accpac would be a great asset.
- Ability to speak French as there may be some interaction with the Montreal branch, is an asset but not required
- Answering phones and forwarding the odd fax.
Job Requirements:
- Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
- Sage AccPac experience an asset
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel
- Foundational knowledge in ERP Solutions
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
