Full-Time Accounting Technician
Job Description
Our growing team continuously seeks hard-working and skilled individuals who will be a positive impact to our Firm. We are currently seeking to have an Accounting Technician as part of our team.
As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
- Maintain books of accounts; journal entries, reconciliations
- Reconcile accounts
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculating and preparing GST/HST, payroll and other government remittances
- Preparing T4’s, T4A’s, and T5018’s
- Completing WSIB and EHT filings
- Recording investments either using Excel or using specific software program
- Preparing personal income tax returns
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

The successful candidate will have:
- Post-secondary education, with a focus in accounting preferred
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a public accounting firm preferred
- Bookkeeping experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Remuneration based on experience.
