Job Description
Administrative/Legal Assistant – Multi-Business
Our business partners are seeking an administrative/legal assistant, who will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support a legal services firm, a psychotherapy business and a private wealth management company.
Location: Niagara Region (St. Catharines)
Hours: Part time, days, with occasional evenings and weekends required
20-25 hours weekly to start with potential to increase to full time
Benefits: After completion of 90 day probationary period
Wage: Commensurate with experience
Duties & Responsibilities:
-General administrative duties including answering phones, responding to inquiries and forwarding messages to the appropriate business partner; scheduling and booking client appointments; maintaining online appointment setting system; communicating professionally with clients; preparing invoices, handling cash/credit card transactions and generating receipts.
-Additional legal administrative support including preparation and filing of legal documents and registration of vehicle liens.
-Some marketing responsibilities include maintaining social media accounts and basic website design.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent required
-Previous experience providing administrative support
-Ability to discreetly handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
-Ability to work effectively under pressure
-Ability to provide a clear and current Criminal Record -Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Preferred Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
-Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Office
-Administration, Legal Administrative Assistant, Business Administration, or a related field
-Previous experience in a legal setting and knowledge of legal terminology, regulations and court system
