Full-Time Architectural Draftsperson (1 Position)

The Building Permit Guy is a fast growing, dynamic drafting and design company who are committed to providing our clients with exceptional value, proven reliability and unsurpassed expertise on their construction project.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge of the 2012 Ontario Building Code (Part 9), proficient with drafting software (AutoCAD or Revit) and can work independently with minimal supervision. This position will have you working at our office in Dunnville, Ontario. You will be responsible for preparing construction drawings according to our format for a large variety of residential construction projects located all across Ontario.
Dunnville is located only a 30 minute stress-free drive away from Hamilton and Welland.
Qualifications:
Completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field. Strong drafting skill using AutoCAD or Revit. Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings. Strong attention to detail is necessary. Fluency in reading and writing in English is required.
These positions are being funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program. In order to be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;
- have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
