Full-Time Automotive Body Shop Technician

As our business grows, so does our team! We are looking to hire a dedicated, reliable and experienced Auto Body Shop Technician or Auto Body Shop Apprentice to join our family!

Role and responsibilities:
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive body and systems
- Interact with the Shop Manager to obtain work orders and customer service specific requirements
- Review damage reports, repair orders and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
- Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components as per manufacturer’s specifications
- File, grind and sand body surfaces using hand and power tools
- Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs
- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure the achievement of quality standards in restoration and repair, in order to reduce and eliminate rework and warranty claims
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
- Automotive Technician License (310S), Autobody Technician License (310B) or candidates who have completed an Apprentice program.
- 1+ years of auto body repair experience or 2,500 hrs of on-the-job training.
- Class G driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract with the ability to operate automatic and manual transmissions
- Ability to properly complete light to heavy repairs (hard hits), including structural and frame rails work
- Ability to handle tools and lift approximately 50lbs
- Experience in wet sanding & buffing preferred
- Physically capable of doing the job which includes frequently bending, crouching, reaching
- Consistently able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Able to work well under pressure
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally
- Ability to work overtime when required
Hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.
