Full-Time Automotive Mechanic (1 Position)
Job Description
Job Gym is currently assisting Pin Oak Automotive recruit an experienced and fully licenced Automotive Mechanic. This position offers full time hours and a fair compensation rate. Position is available immediately.
The primary duty of this position is to provide exceptional customer service while performing general vehicle repair and maintenance tasks safely and properly.
Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
- Advise customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements
Qualifications and attributes required for this position include:
- Completion of apprenticeship process and a minimum of 2 years experience working as a licenced mechanic
- Valid driver licence
- Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
- Attention to detail and the ability to easily adapt to new technologies
- Work ethic demonstrating honesty, reliability, punctuality and team work
- Physically fit to perform: standing and bending for extended periods of time; ability to regularly lift 50lbs
