Full-Time Automotive Service Technician (1 Position)
Job Description
Klammer Motorwerks is a family owned automotive repair shop and we take pride in our knowledge of European vehicles. We recently relocated our shop to a bigger building to accommodate more customers and are currently looking for a licensed automotive mechanic for a full time position. We would consider a second or third year apprentice if the fit is right. We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in the automotive industry and someone who can take initiative when asked to diagnose or repair a vehicle.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Inspect and diagnose vehicles based on vehicle performance, diagnostic testing as well as customers comments
- Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues
- Take a detailed history of vehicle performance or mechanical failures
- Ability to look up labour times and repair procedures
- Perform road tests using safe driving standards
- If asked, communicate with customer to ensure they have an understanding
Requirements
- Must have experience in the automotive industry & have a passion for European vehicles
- Can work well under pressure, problem solve and can hustle
- Knowledge and experience using tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license
- Knowledge of Lankar shop management program and All Data would be an asset
