Job Description
The office of Home Instead Senior Care is excited to extend new opportunities for CAREGivers!
Home Instead Senior Care CAREGivers provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their homes. These services are meant to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Home Instead Senior Care CAREGivers help clients and their families meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care and compassion.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Companionship and home helping including relationship building, meal preparation, light housekeeping and errands
- Personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming and toileting
- Specialized services to support advanced Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and hospice care
Successful Candidates Will:
- Have ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
- Have ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
- Complete a criminal background check, 3 professional and 3 personal reference checks
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Possess valid auto insurance
- Treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
- Be adaptable to various living environments and locations
- Willing to work overnights and weekends
- Have ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Experience and knowledge relating to dementia is a strong asset
