Full-Time Cash Office Clerk

Job Description

Position Summary:

The position of Cash Office Clerk can be involved in any number of tasks, including but not limited to the accounting of cash, debit and credit charges, inventory, sales and deliveries at all gas stations and convenience stores. The position of Cash Office Clerk reports directly to the Controller.Duties/Responsibilities/Procedures:

Cash and Charges:

  • Sorting and verifying all shift packages received daily, for all shifts
  • Verifying cash received using both cash and coin machines
  • Balancing cash received
  • Bundling cash and preparing for Brinks, bank, or ATM orders
  • Providing monthly cash reports as required
  • Sorting and verifying all charges documented by the attendants
  • Verifying fuel and item sales, penny rounding, cigarette and lottery sales
  • Verifying lotto sales, gift card sales, phone cards and payouts
  • Processing manual credits cards into the Global system when required

Data Entry

  • Entering Deposit information into spreadsheet
  • Tracking all gift certificates, diesel discounts, in-house fleet cards and prepay cards
  • Processing of third-party fleet transactions

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring attendant summary sheets and completing tracking sheets when procedures are not being followed
  • Preparing petty cash orders
  • Preparing and balancing coin orders
  • Filling out deposit slips
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications:

  • A minimum of six months to one-year related work experience in a cash office environment, however two years related work experience is preferred
  • An employee in this position must be knowledgeable with regard to:
  1. handling cash
  2. numeracy
  3. computer knowledge

The Candidate Must Possess:

  • A valid High School diploma
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and email platform

Salary: $18.72/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-315pm
