Full-Time Cook (1 Position)
Job Description
We are looking to hire a Cook to work 25-40 hours per week, PT or FT position available.
Duties:
*Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children in accordance with regulations as set out by the local department of health.
*Ensure health regulations will be met in regards to the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and materials necessary for food preparation.
*Keep informed of children’s allergies and special health concerns for children in the centre.
*Prepare grocery lists, necessary for the purchase of food for the following week.
*Abide by all santiary practices and procedures.
*Ensure cleaning practices are met in relation to the smooth running of the centre (washing floors, laundry, garbage dispposal, etc.)
*Interact with children in a positive and appropriate manner.
*Follow all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
All applicants must have their Food Handler’s Certificate, proven reliability, flexible hours, First Aid/C.P.R. and a clear Criminal Reference Check. Previous experience in childcare is an asset.
