Niagara Regional Broadband Network (NRBN) is the Region’s leading Internet Service Provider, and we are growing! We are currently seeking energetic and motivated individuals who are committed to creating positive experiences for our current and prospective customers, as well as acquiring new customers in assigned residential areas. Due to their customer-facing role, the Customer Acquisition Representative must exude a positive, solution-oriented, and enthusiastic attitude in all interactions.

What do You Bring to the Team?

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience with CRM systems and customer billing systems considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to listen actively, as well as communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
  • Ability to take initiative; proactively seeking and implementing solutions to assist the customer and the organization
  • Superior organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Exemplary time management skills and a capability to work productively with minimal supervision
  • Adaptability to changes in processes, systems, and organizational structure
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments and communicate at various levels of understanding 

What Will You be Doing?

  • Successfully achieving sales goals via door-to-door, in-person and/or over the phone and online interactions through sales strategies and practices
  • Meeting established activity targets and key performance indicators, including sales and connects
  • Acting as a brand ambassador when promoting, recommending, and selling the value of NRBN’s products and services
  • Providing current and prospective customers with accurate pricing and technical information, based on information available
  • Tracking sales activity with daily and weekly reports
  • Working as part of our team to provide exemplary customer service and ensure that our customers receive consistently positive interactions
  • Providing customer education as required to ensure an outstanding customer experience
  • Working with our systems and processes to support customers while proactively anticipating their needs
  • Participating in projects and initiatives to enhance the customer experience, as requested
  • Other relevant duties as assigned by Leadership, within the scope and spirit of the position

Work Environment and Special Conditions

  • This role will involve both indoor and outdoor work, in varying weather conditions
  • This role will involve participating in door-to-door sales initiatives
  • Walking, standing, and sitting for long periods is required
  • Frequent local vehicle travel
  • Rotational shift hours will be required to ensure proper coverage during evenings and weekends
  • Occasionally required to adjust and/or extend hours of work to meet work demands or customer requirements
  • This position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Records Check and submit a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate (‘PCRC’, ‘CRC’)
  • A valid G-class driver’s license and clean driving abstract is required
