Full-Time Delivery Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a Delivery Truck Driver with a valid DZ license. As requirement of our insurer, you must have (a) at least three years consecutive driving experience (2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022); (b) a clean drivers abstract and (c) a letter from your former employer(s) confirming that you were insured as a driver while in their employ.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Your work day will consist of both driving and working in the warehouse
  • Maneuver International 28ft tandem truck in a safe manner
  • Load, unload, and move products by hand or with basic material handling equipment to convenience stores, gas stations, souvenir stores etc.
  • Deliver products sold in convenience stores safely and as per schedule: transport and distribute materials and goods (these are not all dock call deliveries)
  • Collect proper correspondence from customers: obtain receipt of delivery, signed packing slip, payments, etc.
  • Maintain truck: fill up with fuel, clean as necessary, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as requested
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

Job Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s licence with DZ endorsement (& current driver’s abstract)
  • Minimum driving experience with a DZ license 3 years
  • High School Diploma
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Customer Service experience an asset
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills
  • proof of double vaccination for Covid-19 will be required

Working Conditions

  • General Hours 8:am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday -overtime if required. – weekends and statutory holidays off

Salary

Starting Salary: $20.50 / Hour – $42,640 annually based on 40hrs / week. Overtime and benefits extra
