Full-Time Dietary Server

Job Description

We are currently seeking an active, compassionate, and hard-working Dietary Aide/Server to join our dynamic care team here at Plymouth Cordage. The successful candidate will be committed to providing the highest standard of care for the residents.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer service setting and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills
  • Safe Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
  • Must possess Smart Serve Certificate
  • Must be willing to get a Police background clearance for vulnerable person’s sector
  • Must have effective verbal and written English communication skills and follow direction
  • Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items and stand/walk for majority of shift

Areas of Responsibility

  • Ability to display and maintain the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Levante’s Code of Conduct, while creating a positive and supportive workplace
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Ability to setup and maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room and tray service (i.e., washing/sanitizing tables, chairs, and serveries) as required in accordance with Public Health and Safety requirements
  • Ability to serve meals to residents in a pleasant, friendly manner and professional manner, while ensuring high standards of resident dietary services are consistently achieved
  • Ability to Assist with orientation and training of new dietary staff
  • Ability to assist in set up and preparation for service of various items such as beverages, snacks, desserts, etc.
  • Ability to use industrial equipment such as dishwasher, while washing and sanitizing of small wares
  • Ability to follow proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to keep the work area clean and uncluttered and completes scheduled cleaning duties
  • Ability to perform general kitchen duties as assigned
  • Ability to report to and follow the direction of the Culinary Manager, while providing support to the home
