Are you a Social Media Maestro that’s motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the recovery of the Niagara Falls Tourism & Hospitality Sector?

Westridge HR, on behalf of Niagara Falls Tourism, is searching for a Digital Advertising Specialist (1-year contract; based onsite) to develop, execute, and manage digital advertising campaigns that drive visitation to the Niagara Falls Tourism website and its members’ websites.

Niagara Falls, Ontario, is an iconic global tourist destination that typically boasts 14 million visitors a year.   Representing over 400 tourism-based businesses, Niagara Falls Tourism (“NFT”) operates as a non-profit organization and works across consumer and business channels to foster the growth of tourism throughout the City of Niagara Falls and surrounding areas.

If your passion is managing and posting social media organically, regrettably, this is NOT the position for you, as NFT already has dedicated resources focussed on those important aspects of digital marketing.

If your passion is creating, deploying, and measuring the results of digital advertising campaigns including SEM, display, video, social media advertising and email marketing, then keep reading!

Here’s what this new role will be responsible for:

  • Developing & executing digital advertising (social, SEM, display, YouTube) and email marketing campaigns; ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategies and initiatives;
  • Managing digital/email campaign reporting; including providing strategic insights and recommendations based on reporting results;
  • Meeting & exceeding performance targets through effective campaign strategy and optimization;
  • Continually inspiring the team with emerging trends and innovations in digital marketing and customer experience.

We’d love to talk to you more about this terrific opportunity if you:

  • Have an excellent knowledge of digital advertising platforms, enhanced by at least one year of hands on experience; preferably in the Hospitality/Tourism/Travel industry;
  • Enjoy the analytical side of digital advertising and possess a deep understanding of digital dashboards to optimize and report on ad campaigns for social media, google, YouTube, programming, etc.;
  • Are fuelled with marketing creativity in terms of digital ad approach and optimization strategies;
  • Have salary expectations in the $40K – $50K range.

 You have the following skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS;
  • Thorough understanding of CASL and email marketing leading edge practices;
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced yet highly organized environment; taking initiative and embracing challenges; being proactive to find solutions; knowing when to raise your hand for support.
