We are looking for a full time Driver to join our growing team

Full Time, $19+/hour depending on experience

The Driver is responsible for delivering products and materials to designated locations throughout Niagara, GTA, Buffalo and between site locations in Fort Erie. The Driver will ensure timely delivery pick ups of goods to predetermined clients on specific routes as well as loading and unloading trucks.

Duties and Responsibilities

·Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined pick ups clients on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks

·Ensure goods are secured to prevent damage to goods whilst in transit

·Drives safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

·Keeps company vehicle clean and ensure it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive

·Ensure all relevant documents are up to date per MTO requirements

·Basic truck maintenance as well as circle checks prior to delivery runs

·Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods

·Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications

·Follows pre-planned route accurately without deviation from set course

·Verify pick ups & drop offs from the purchase order, packing slips &/or any supplementary documents

·Read electrical and other technical diagrams

·Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand and power tools and equipment

·Follow all company Health and Safety Protocols. Ensuring a safe work environment at all times

·Refer to the installation instructions and travelers for assistance

·Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations

·Test electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring for proper performance using testing devises

·Clean and perform preparation of work site

·Sign-out Hardware components from Inventory for fixture builds

·Assist in packing and building skids

·Document and report quality issues or shortages and bring to the Supervisors attention

·Clean work area at the end of each shift

·Return all left over components to inventory

·Create and apply labels to fixtures as specified

·Focus on ensuring that stock items are readily available to prevent shortages on manufactured components such as hardware, drivers etc.

·Document production qualities and ensure consistency is being met.

·Participate in R&D special projects

·Participate in goods to order process

·Any other reasonable work request made by your Manager

Qualifications

·Must have valid G drivers licence

·Clean driving record and abstract

·Minimum (3) years experience in heavy commercial trucks and in general assembly

·Valid passport

·Clean criminal background check

·Knowledge in manufacturing assembly would be considered an asset
