One of St. Catharines largest indoor/outdoor building supply dealers is excited to expand their highly tenured team. Their unique indoor and outdoor facility showcases a variety of building and landscaping supplies including brick, drywall, cultured stone, and masonry supplies. We are looking for a DZ driver with 2+ years of experience to deliver supplies to customers and contractors in the Niagara Region.

• Full time, permanent position Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm.
• Central St. Catharines location
• Earn the competitive wage of $23 – $25 per hour
• Bonus incentive pay for drywall drop-offs at client sites
• Local Niagara deliveries only – be home every evening!
• After the probationary period, eligible for full family benefits after 3 months, and company matches RRSP Pension Plan after 1 year. PPE allowance $300/year

Responsibilities

• Safely and courteously deliver building and landscaping supplies to various customers and contractors in the Niagara Region
• Loading and unloading various construction materials, mostly all forklift loads, occasional hand bombing
• Ensure accurate delivery and report shortages of supplies to Yard Manager
• Delivery of drywall to clients (bonus incentives)
• Vehicle maintenance and cleanliness both inside and outside of truck, safety circle-checks
• Operate tri-axel truck, dump truck, boom truck (in the course of time), propane forklifts in the yard and warehouse

Skills for Success

• Familiarity with various construction materials is an asset
• DZ or AZ truck license
• 2+ years of delivery driving experience with a clean Driver’s Abstract
• Moffett and Boom truck experience is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Steel toe boots required
• Knowledge of directions in the Niagara Region is an asset
• Comfortable with a fast-paced environment with some deadlines and workflow surges during busy summer season
