About Crescent Flooring
Located in Fort Erie, Crescent Flooring is a supplier of highly respected national brands of carpet, vinyl, ceramic, porcelain, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl-tile, cork and bamboo. With many satisfied customers, they continue to service Fort Erie and the wider Niagara Region. They are currently seeking an Estimator/Sales warehouse person to join their small team. This is a full-time position with the opportunity for some flexibility in shifts and ample opportunity to grow within the company.
Summary
The Estimator/Sales Warehouse Person will be responsible for selling all types of flooring to customers throughout the Niagara Region. The incumbent will be a dependable individual with excellent problem solving skills and outstanding communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Speak to customers to schedule times for flooring and room measurements
- Attend customer’s residence or commercial properties to measure flooring area to determine square footage, and gather job details to ensure the entire scope of the work required is accounted for
- Inform customers of flooring options and make recommendations based on their property, wants and needs; schedule a time for the customer to come to the warehouse to make selections
- Graph out room schematics on graph paper and determine the crew required to complete the job
- Meet with customers in store and assist them with picking out their flooring, offering suggestions and ideas based on their needs
- Input customer’s selection and square footage into an internal database to determine labour costs and provide customers with estimate
- Accept payments from customers according the agreed upon payment plan
- Communicate the customer requests to the ordering department and assist with placing the flooring orders
- Schedule the flooring installation dates and the appropriate staff needed to complete the job
- Assist in the warehouse as needed; stocking carpet rolls and other flooring
Skills and Qualifications
- Reliable and hardworking with a keen eye for detail
- G class drivers license and full access to their own vehicle to travel to and from jobs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to solve problems and work under tight deadlines
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build a positive rapport with all customers
