Job Gym is currently assisting the Dyck Family Vineyards, recruiting, a Farm Labourer. This position is full time seasonal position. Employee and customer safety is the company’s top priority so safe distancing and sanitizing procedures are in place.
The Dyck Family Vineyards, specializes and experience with a variety of grapes for making wine. Over the years, they have seen many wonderful changes in the Niagara wine industry as vineyards transitioned from Native North American grape varieties through to French Hybrids to what we have today, an industry focused on producing top-quality wines using classic European grape varieties. They were a part of the industry when VQA (Vintners Quality Alliance) was created – a benchmark that promoted using entirely Ontario-grown grapes to produce internationally award winning wines. Throughout the years of hard work, dedication and passion, they grew the family vineyard to 160 acres, always focusing on wine grapes to create what we have today – a vineyard respected for producing top-quality grapes.
This role will involve loading and unloading materials, preparation and maintain safe and healthy standards.
The ideal candidate will have an interest and enjoys working in this type of environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have own transportation (no bus route)
- Must enjoy the outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Vineyard experience preferred, is willing to train the right person
- Will perform shoot thinning, shoot positioning, fruit thinning leaf thinning, hoeing, and grape harvesting
- 40 to 60 hours a week
- Wage: $14.39 per hour
- Positive attitude, able to accept feedback
