Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a well-known company located in Smithville who is looking for general labourers! These are great entry-level general labourer positions, with the opportunity of room for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Maneuvering large rolls of paper to line up with the machine
  • Feeding rolls through the machine
  • Inputting size measurements for desired cut sizes
  • Packaging items and lifting boxes
  • Moving products into plastic sleeves
  • Completing quality control checks and inspecting products
  • General labour duties, as assigned

Skills for Success

  • Reliable transportation to Smithville
  • Mechanical experience is an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 40-50lbs
  • Self-management skills
  • Able to stand on your feet for long periods of time
  • Simple math and basic computer skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Schedule

Continental shifts (7:00pm–7:00am and 7:00am – 7:00pm)

  • 48 hours one week (Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday)
  • 36 hours following week (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday)
  • PERK* 4 hours of overtime every other week

Wages

  • $17.00 /hour
