Job Description
Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery was established with our first vintage in 1988. At that time we were one of a very few estate wineries dedicated to producing premium quality wines made from 100% Ontario grown grapes. Today, Henry of Pelham is a 200K+ case producer in Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula.
Henry of Pelham is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team for the 2021 harvest (approx. mid-August to end of November).
Duties/Responsibilities:
-Cleaning and sterilizing winery equipment and tanks
-Transferring, racking, blending wine/juice
-Carrying out various additions/inoculations
-Barrel operations: filling, racking, topping
-Pump-overs, punch downs, red drain and presses
-Set up, operation, and cleaning of all crush pad equipment (presses, crusher/destemmer, hoppers, converyors)
-Sampling and weighing fruit
-Maintaining a safe, clean and organized cellar
Eligibility Requirements:
-Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
-Able to lift 25kg and able to work at heights
-Willing to work shift hours and extended hours during harvest
